Beneficiaries from the project include a family with three young girls in elementary school and a senior couple who at the age of 80 are now able to flick a switch to turn on a light in their homes for the first time.

The Regional Office team is on the move again. This time to a different region in the Amazon to evaluate partners, potential projects and to do our first solar home system installs in the region.  We’ve also graduated to our new ‘basic’ system – 25W solar panel and 26Ah battery with 4 LEDs that we’re excited to try out in Peru (a new type which has proved successful in other countries).  We’ll take lots of pictures and check back in soon!
